1-2-3 finish by Team Legion of Racers at Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Singapore 2023

Sim racers from Team Legion of Racers have secured a 1-2-3 podium finish at the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) GT Cup Singapore 2023.

The trio of Singaporean racers - Fadtris Isa (first), Ethan Yoh (second) and Zaim Rasyad (third) - ended the competition as they did exactly a year ago when all three ended up on the podium in similar positions.

The three sim racers ended up earning the prize money of SGD3000, SGD2000 and SGD1000 respectively.

Said Fadtris, “It was definitely not an easy battle going up against my fellow competitors. We were all determined to win the title and it was great that we managed to claim all the top 3 positions in the competition.”

Added Zaim, “It was truly an honour to finish on the podium again for the third consecutive year. For now, I am looking forward to the regional finals to beheld in Kuala Lumpur.”

Fadtris and Yoh both had a strong showing in the semi-finals, where both of them won two races.

With Zaim finishing in second spot twice, the trio of sim racers from Team Legion of Racers then proceeded to the finals where the top 12 battled it out for top honours in the annual competition.

In the finals, it was Fadtris who showed the way and posted a strong performance, managing to win three out of three races, which eventually led him to becoming the champion for the second consecutive year.

The three drivers will now represent Singapore in the upcoming TGR GT Cup Asia which will be held in Kuala Lumpur on 23 and 24 September.

Said Legion of Racers co-founder Melvin Moh, “The performances of Team Legion of Racers at the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup 2023 have been nothing short of spectacular.

A 1-2-3 finish for the second consecutive year is a great result for the team. Team LOR racers have now won the competition for three years in a row, which is further proof that our racers are indeed the best in Singapore.”

Apartfrom the 1-2-3 finish in Singapore, the trio of Team LOR sim racers will also be joined by team-mates Luis Moreno (Philippines) and Andika Rama (Indonesia) in the Asia finals.

“With five of our sim racers in the Asia finals, it is a clear signal that Team Legion of Racers are among the best in the region,” added Moh.
